Those words, that offer to us is an experimental project of semantics and sentiment in the form of multiple publications, each of which examines the Western Armenian language through the activity of translation. For the third issue we have asked contributors to translate the sentiments they long to communicate in Western Armenian and English into a phrase. Some contributors arrived with figures of speech they knew intimately or grew up with, and sought to use translation to expand the phrase’s capacity to hold more than they thought it originally could. Others arrived with a feeling for which they have been longing in language, and used translation to attempt a linguistic package. Some sentiments span two words, and others a whole sentence. But all accompany their phrases with a process—a story, a game, a library, an alphabet, a conversation—for the reader to inhabit the complexity, and stretch the capacity, of a sentiment.

Այն բառերը, որ մեզի կը նուիրեն իմաստաբանութեան և զգացումներու փորձարական ծրագիր է բազմահատոր հրատարակութիւններու կերպով, իւրաքանչիւր հատորը թարգմանութեամբ կը հարցուփորձէ արեւմտահայերէն լեզուն: Երրորդ թողարկութեան համար՝ մենք խնդրեցինք մասնակցողներուն թարգմանել այն զգացումները, որոնք բաղձանք ունին հաղորդակցել մի արտայայտութեան մէջ արեւմտահայերէնով եւ անգլերէնով։ Ոմանք եկան իրենց ծանօթ կամ մանկութենէն ժառանգած խօսքի ձեւերուն եւ թարգմանութեան միջոցով փորձեցին ընդլայնել այդ արտայայտութիւններու պարունակութեան կարողութիւնը, քան սկզբնապէս կարծած էին։ Ուրիշներ եկան զգացումով մը, որուն համար լեզուի կարօտ էին, եւ թարգմանութեան միջոցով փորձեցին ստեղծել լեզուական փաթեթ մը։ Ոմանց զգացումները երկու բառով կը սահմանափակուին, իսկ ուրիշներունը՝ ամբողջ նախադասութեամբ։Բայց բոլորն ալ իրենց զգացումներու փաթեթը կ'ընկերակցին ընթացքով մը՝ պատմութեամբ, խաղով, գրադարանով, այբուբենով, զրոյցով, որ ընթերցողին հնարաւորութիւն կու տայ մուտք գործել բարդութիւններուն մէջ եւ ընդարձակել զգացումի կարողութիւնը:
